Harry Styles has taken a moment on stage to acknowledge the women of Iran.
During his concert at the United Centre in Chicago over the weekend, the superstar held up a sign on stage which read “STAND WITH THE WOMEN OF IRAN #MAHSAAMINI.”
Amini was a young woman detained by “morality police” in the country for allegedly wearing her hijab loosely. She died in custody on September 16. Protests have erupted within Iran and many peaceful women’s freedom movements have been held around the world ever since.
Harry’s sign was made by one of his fans in the audience. As he held it up, the auditorium roared with applause. Check out this video below, shared with Celebritykind by audience member Te’a Dudley:
